WCDMA-Node B team is hiring for its Node B program in Bangalore


UMTS Node B is a logical node in the Radio network subsystem like BTS in GSM, It is responsible for transmission and reception of radio frequency signals to/from user equipment. 
NodeB terminates IuB interface towards RNC. Node B can support Frequency Division Duplexing(FDD), Time Division Duplexing(TDD) or dual mode operation. 
This team in Bangalore is responsible for design, development and integration testing of UMTS NodeB.

The Node B - ISS team

The Node B - ISS team handles Functional testing for the new enhancements/Features, Basic NodeB bring up and sanity testing, regression, stability and performance testing, support of network level testing and First office Application field installations (FOA),development and support of in-house and third party tools/simulator environments.
We are looking for energetic, self driven candidates with experience and/or strong interest in the network element (RNC or NodeB) testing, should have strong understanding of Telecom protocols with experience in any (UMTS, CDMA, GSM, GPRS) wireless domain – UMTS experience in the areas of NBAP, RRC protocol in Radio access beares, backhaul transport ATM or IP and UMTS/NBAP message flow is desirable.

Skills and experience:
· Good knowledge of design requirements analysis, system integration, problem analysis and validations-customer oriented mind: ability to analyze the issues seen in the system and provide customer impacts
· Good knowledge and practice of Verification process (es), test methodologies and Quality initiatives
· Writing test specifications
· Exposure to Unix, Linux and windows based tools
· Support activities on external team issues and good debugging skills
· PERL or similar scripting experience desirable
· Good knowledge on Automation frame work desirable.
· Familiarity with simulation tools (Ubinetics, Catapult etc.,)

WCDMA Node B –Call Processing team

WCDMA Node B –Call Processing team works on WCDMA Call Processing mainly involving NBAP and ALCAP Protocols. The team charter is full ownership including Requirements Review, Design, Coding, Unit Testing, Pre-Integration and Support until DR5. The team has full ownership of the Call Processing Module. The Call Processing is C++ and Vxworks/Linux based and is compliant to 3GPP Specifications.

Experience level:
Job title: Senior Software Eng/Lead Engineers 
Experience: 3-7 years
Skill and experience:
· UMTS Signaling Protocols like NBAP, ALCAP, RRC
· Unix/Linux/RTOS internals
· Any Wireless Call Processing/Call Flow
· Work experience in C++
· Hands on any real time operating system
· Clear-case or any CM tool
· Good analysis and trouble shooting skills
· Ability to develop pre-int test suites
· Work experience on call processing/call flow on any wireless platform
Skill Set (Desirable):
· Understanding of various wireless technologies
· Purify, Coverity on windows/Unix
· Knowledge of user level Unix (Solaris, Linux)
· Basic knowledge of make-files and cross-compilation
· Debugging using tornado and GDB
